Biography Highlight

Yang Hua, male, Han nationality, was born in 1961. Yang graduated from China University of Petroleum with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He also received an MBA degree from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He joined CNOOC in 1982 and has nearly 30 years’ experience in petroleum exploration and production. In March 2009, he was appointed as President of CNOOC Limited. In May 2010, he was appointed as a Vice President and Member of Party Leadership Group of CNOOC. Since August 2010, he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited. In 2015 he was named Chairman of Board of the Directors of China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
